The
Tenleytown Mural was funded by a grant from the DC
Commission on the Arts and Humanities, applied for by Stephen
Voss and Charlene Kannankeril in June of 2016 and
awarded in October of 2016. Artist Jarrett
Ferrier painted the mural over the months of August
and September 2017.
The mural was featured in news stories by WUSA9,
and NBC4.
During installation, 3rd grade students from Janney
Elementary School visited
the mural, as well as students from Wilson High
School.
